NOH8 Events in Dallas & Los Angeles on SUNDAY!

The NOH8 Campaign will be hosting events in two major cities on SUNDAY -- and we hope you can join us!

We'll be hosting our first open photo shoot in DALLAS, with a record-breaking turnout expected (we've also just announced extended hours!). For those of you in Los Angeles, TEAM NOH8 will also be participating in AIDS WALK LA for our second year in a row! ALL are welcome at these events, and we hope some of you are able to join us. :)

DALLAS OPEN PHOTO SHOOT

On SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16th the NOH8 Campaign will set up our studio at the EPISCOPAL CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION in DALLAS, TEXAS -- opening up the opportunity to join the campaign to all the NOH8 supporters in the DALLAS area!

The photo shoot on SUNDAY is scheduled to begin at 1PM and end at 5PM.

****ANNOUNCEMENT: DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING TURN-OUT EXPECTED AT THE DALLAS PHOTO SHOOT, WE'RE EXTENDING THE PHOTO SHOOT HOURS UNTIL 8PM. PENDING ANY UNFORSEEN OBSTACLES, EVERYONE IN LINE BY 8PM SHOULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO POSE FOR THEIR NOH8 PHOTO.****

You do not need to make reservations; it's first come, first served! When you arrive, you will receive a numbered model release to fill out, followed by receiving your NOH8 tattoo. We will call numbers throughout the day, and your corresponding release number will signal your time to line up to have your photo taken!

The costs of doing a NOH8 portrait break down as follows:

SOLO PORTRAITS .......... $40.00

COUPLE & GROUP PORTRAITS ........... $25.00 per person

The NOH8 Campaign accepts cash, most major credit cards, and checks made out to 'NOH8Campaign'. Fee covers services & processing for one retouched digital print only, made available through www.NOH8Campaign.com.

The lines moves quickly, so don't let the RSVP's intimidate you! We always do our best to make sure that everyone in line by 8PM has a chance to pose for their photo - and up to this point, we haven't ever had to turn anyone away! Anyone that would like to join the NOH8 Campaign is asked to wear a plain white shirt to match the look of the signature NOH8 photos.

Celebrity Photographer & NOH8 Co-Founder Adam Bouska will be working around the clock to photograph 5-10 frames for each person that comes through. The final selection he chooses will be retouched and made available to you in about 8 weeks through the website:

Once you arrive, the NOH8 Campaign will apply the NOH8 temporary tattoo to your face, and we will also supply you with the silver duct tape for the photo.

Funds raised by the NOH8 Campaign will be used to continue promoting and raising awareness for marriage equality and anti-discrimination through NOH8’s interactive media campaign. This includes bringing the campaign to other cities around the country, as well as compiling the images for a large-scale media campaign. Under consideration is the expansion of our campaign to other media, including television and radio broadcast, billboards, and magazines. Contributions are also used to cover the daily operations and maintenance necessary to run this rapidly growing campaign.

The NOH8 Campaign is an approved 501(c)(3), donations will be tax-deductible up to the amount allowable by law.

JOIN TEAM NOH8 @ AIDS WALK LA

On OCTOBER 16th, 2011 APLA (AIDS Project Los Angeles) will be hosting their annual fundraiser; AIDS Walk Los Angeles! The NOH8 Campaign will be hosting their second consecutive team for AIDS Walk LA in order to help support and raise awareness for the ongoing issues of HIV and AIDS. All funds raised by Team NOH8 and AIDS Walk LA will benefit APLA. You can find a full list of the beneficiaries here.

Since its inception in 1985, AIDS Walk Los Angeles has benefited AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), an AIDS service organization dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease; reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV–related public policy. AIDS Walk Los Angeles makes it possible for APLA to provide urgently needed food, dental care, safe housing, and much more to people with HIV/AIDS who also face poverty, hunger, and homelessness. APLA also runs the county’s largest network of HIV prevention programs to end the epidemic in Los Angeles.

Remember that even though you might not be able to help raise runds directly, you can still walk with us and be a part of the team at no cost! Encourage your friends and family to sign up, or at least come out and be a part of the walk with you! 

By joining the team, you will join other NOH8 supporters in coming together for this amazing event to support not only those who need our help, but those our community has lost along the way. 

We will once again be hosting a fundraiser photo shoot for our AIDS Walk Los Angeles Team, to be determined at a later date. We will update this event with details once the shoot has been confirmed!
