05/15/2011 - jennifer french - In September of 2009, our family lost a dear friend to suicide because he could no longer bear to live in a society that, he felt, saw him as a lesser being. I lost my best friend and my daughters, both of whom he loved more than he loved himself, lost a man they considered to be their uncle. He was human. We are human. And we all have the right to a life with the people we love.
