- Growing up it wasn't easy living in the area of Washington D.C. that I lived in. I was continuously teased, taunted and bullied in and outside of school due to the fact that I'm gay. I always knew that I were attracted to the same sex but at that young of an age I didn't know the term for being who I am until the bullying started. After being verbally abused and called multiple names I quickly asked and researched what being gay was, then coming to the realization of the name of who I am and why being who I am is such an epidemic. I appreciate having a campaign such as the NOH8 campaign because it gives people of all ages that are going through negative circumstances with their sexuality that they're not alone and to just be comfortable with themselves and hopefully be an inspiration unto others going through the same.
