Join Team NOH8 Campaign @ AIDS Walk LA!

On OCTOBER 16th, 2011 APLA (AIDS Project Los Angeles) will be hosting their annual fundraiser; AIDS Walk Los Angeles! The NOH8 Campaign will be hosting their second consecutive team for AIDS Walk LA in order to help support and raise awareness for the ongoing issues of HIV and AIDS. All funds raised by Team NOH8 and AIDS Walk LA will benefit APLA. You can find a full list of the beneficiaries here.

Since its inception in 1985, AIDS Walk Los Angeles has benefited AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), an AIDS service organization dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease; reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV–related public policy. AIDS Walk Los Angeles makes it possible for APLA to provide urgently needed food, dental care, safe housing, and much more to people with HIV/AIDS who also face poverty, hunger, and homelessness. APLA also runs the county’s largest network of HIV prevention programs to end the epidemic in Los Angeles.

Once you've joined the team, you will be sent an e-mail with information on how to start raising funds for your team. Remember that even though you might not be able to help raise runds directly, you can still walk with us and be a part of the team at no cost! Encourage your friends and family to sign up, or at least come out and be a part of the walk with you! 

By joining the team, you will join other NOH8 supporters in coming together for this amazing event to support not only those who need our help, but those our community has lost along the way. 

We will once again be hosting a fundraiser photo shoot for our AIDS Walk Los Angeles Team, to be determined at a later date. We will update this event with details once the shoot has been confirmed!
