CESCal's 2nd Annual International Conference for LGBTQIA Youth

The Center for Excellence in School Counseling and Leadership (CESCaL) and the Harvey Milk Foundation to present the 2nd annual international conference addressing LGBTQIA issues in schools.

On February 25-27, 2011 school counselors and educators from around the world will join together in San Diego, CA for the second annual conference titled Solutions to a Crisis: Supporting Students ~ Saving Lives. You can register for the conference here!

JOIN THE NOH8 CAMPAIGN ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Conference Attendees will have the opportunity to have their NOH8 portraits taken around 8:15 PM in the Hotel Lobby, immediately following the performance of DEAR HARVEY - a play based on over 30 interviews with friends and colleagues of activist Harvey Milk.

Couple & Group Photos - $25 per Person

A portion of proceeds from the Conference's NOH8 Shoot will be used to fund scholarships that will allow more educators to attend next year's conference.

Please note that this event is NOT an open photo shoot and is available to conference attendees ONLY.

More than 40 diverse workshops will provide conference goers with the knowledge, attitudes and skills that are necessary to support and advocate for LGBTQIA Youth. Attendees will gain the knowledge of the laws and rights of LGBTQIA students and resources available to school counselors, students and families; the importance of personal responsibility to be advocates for our LGBTQIA Youth and to promote social justice for all; and ability to access community resources and create safe spaces in schools for LGBTQIA Youth. Register Early!
