NOH8 is something I've grown up to know and live by before it even existed.  So when I heard and learned about the NOH8 Campaign, I knew I had to be a part of it.

Growing up in the "hood" has never been easy but I learned that my family came first no matter what choices they made, and for us, that was just every day life.  After getting married, I made sure to educate my girls about NOH8 and how we accept everyone for who they are inside and out not just from what you see before you. That is why I love the quote I put in my signature to remind myself NOH8 should be everyone's way of life.

I was lucky enough to volunteer my entire day to such a great cause and my oldest daughter came after school to help me out as well.  My youngest wasn't able to attend, but when we arrived home we made sure to take a photo with her because she also knows how important this is.  If ever in NYC again, you can rest assured that I will be out there helping NOH8 again.  Everyone needs to Live it, Learn it and Spread the message of NOH8.
