Introducing the "I AM HUMAN" NOH8 PSA
Thursday, June 17th, 2010
The NOH8 Campaign is excited to announce the release of our "I AM HUMAN" Public Service Announcement (PSA).
A group of familiar faces speaking nine different languages from all over the world came together for our third NOH8 PSA to share their one simple message: I am human.
No matter what language you speak or what country you live in, everybody everywhere speaks the universal language of love. We are all human, and we deserve to be treated equally.
The cast of the PSA shares their own personal reasons for wanting to pose for the campaign and bring attention to the cause, encouraging proactive dialogue that promotes love for your fellow human being and seeks to end hate and discrimination.
Each of our participants was chosen in part for their fluency in their respective languages, which allowed us to interpret the same script into nine languages: English, Farsi, Spanish, Hebrew, Japanese, Greek, French, American Sign Language, and Dutch.
Our diverse cast of Familiar Faces include...
MAYIM BIALIK LOUIS VAN AMSTEL KIMBERLEY LOCKE
HEBREW DUTCH ENGLISH
GEORGE TAKEI MARLEE MATLIN AMBER ROSE
JAPANESE AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE ENGLISH
VIDA GHAFFARI VASSY SELENE LUNA
FARSI GREEK & FRENCH SPANISH
We're thankful to each and every one of them for not only taking the time to come in, but translating and verifying their own lines as well. They all went above and beyond, and we're honored to have their support.
