Free to Be, by Lisette
Thursday, September 13th, 2012I posed for NOH8 because of my beliefs in equality. We each have a unique purpose, and we each possess the strength and ability to feel happy and to be free of the emotional chains that can hold us in captivity. Regardless of sexual orientation, ethnic or economic background, marital status, survivors of rape, sexual/emotional/physical abuse, cancer survivors, AIDS survivors, survivors of hatred, betrayal, addiction, ridicule; whatever category society has unwillingly placed you in, we are all one. And as intertwined individuals who make up a beautiful whole, we should be free to love ourselves. We should be free to just be.
