Celebrating Our Differences

In celebration of Judge Walker's ruling today in favor of reinstating same-sex marriages as of August 18th, we wanted to share one of our favorite NOH8 portraits that was just finalized and approved for release!

During our Open Shoot in San Francisco, the NOH8 Campaign was offered the opportunity to include Wicked stars Eden Espinosa (Elphaba) and Kendra Kassebaum (Glinda) as part of the campaign before the curtains went up on their final performance together.

Wicked is a hit Broadway musical (loosely based on The Wizard of Oz) that celebrates the differences and budding friendship between Oz's two most famous witches despite seemingly insurmountable adversity. Even though the two girls are from vastly different backgrounds and their philosophies seem completely different, their experiences together allow them to find what they have in common.

Though Wicked is fictional, the messages and themes of the show are something that really embody what NOH8 is all about; anti-discrimination and equal treatment for everybody regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. Thank you to everybody involved in helping bring this shot together!
