The NOH8 Campaign Goes INTERNATIONAL!
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011The NOH8 Campaign is taking its message to the global stage by announcing its very first international Open Photo Shoot in TOKYO, JAPAN! This important step forward comes as we reach a landmark 10,000 NOH8 Portraits for the campaign, featuring thousands of people from all walks of life across the United States.

Not only is there no legal recognition of same sex relationships in Japan, but there are no protections against discrimination or harassment in either the personal or professional lives of LGBT Japanese citizens. We hope that by bringing the message of "no hate" to Tokyo, we might be able to start the same kind of community dialogue there that we've tried to encourage here in our own country.
The NOH8 Campaign will be taking portraits at New Lex in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday March 27th. Click here for our event page with more details!

While those seeds of change begin to grow and spread in Japan, the NOH8 Campaign will continue to travel around the US and offer the chance to join the campaign to as many communities as possible. Tokyo is just one of 12 brand new tour dates, and the only international date. We plan to announce additional shoots in the coming months, so if you don't see a city near you on the list - don't worry! Our mission is to visit as many communities as we possibly can.
